A magical afternoon in Santa Monica

While we were on our way to Santa Monica Beach I was just super excited. There is just something special about beaches… I always feel so happy when I’m near the sea. It is even more amazing when the sky has this unbelievable blue color and it’s sunny like here in California. I could spend a lot of time by the sea. One of the things I appreciate the most about Denmark is actually that you are never too far away from one, as I probably would not like it too much to live somewhere without a beach nearby. Every time I saw California beaches on the tv or on pictures I was stunned, so I could not wait to see them in real life. By the way it was also the first time I saw the Pacific Ocean. I was not disappointed to say the least.

Other than the surroundings, I really liked to watch people do all kinds of activities, that they seemed to do frequently. People are walking on the lines and swinging in the rings on the beach. It is so much harder than it looks. I tried to swing in the rings and I sucked pretty much, haha. A lot of people bike and skate by the beach. The coolest way to get around though is an electric longboard from Boosted. They are super popular here on the West Coast and we saw a bunch of people on those. Santa Monica is just the coolest place ever!

The colorful and weird houses by the beach made everything look so cool.
